Playascape was a plywood structure over 3 meters high that resembled undulating auditorium seating with led strip lighting.

My Roles: CAD Tech, CNC Operator, Builder

• Checked and corrected CAD drawing for CNC cutting

• Material testing and prototypes of design details

• Operated CNC machine

• Taught volunteers to use woodwork hand tools: jigsaw, router, chisels, sanding

• Supervised and advised 1st rib test build

• Checked all pieces were present and cut correctly

• Taught reading of technical drawing to volunteers

• Prepared structure for transport

• Built structure on site over three full days, including mid day full sun and 3am cold sand storms

• Installed lighting under lighting designers direction

• Takedown of structure, cleanup and packing of all tools
